£20 deposit is required to secure the booking and the remaining balance can be paid on the day you have booked. An invoice with payments details on will be emailed upon booking.
Live Animal Handling Party Session for Children
Each Animal Handling Session lasts up to 2 hours from 10am to 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Within the first hour you will meet the five Animal species of River's Rodents and Reptiles. The session will be full of fun, educational and age appropriate facts. These facts will focus on habitat adaptations, diet and husbandry.
Maximum of 20 children.
After the Animal Handling Session the Children's Buffet and Crafting Activity will be available.
The Children's Buffet includes -
Sandwiches - Ham, Cheese and Jam
Crisps - Plain and Tortillas
Crudites - Cucumber, Carrot and Celery
Fruit - Apples, Grapes and Satsuma
Please let us know on the booking form of any allergies or intolerances.
We can also make a birthday cake, either Chocolate or Victoria Sponge at an extra £20.
The children will meet five animals, which include one Blue Tongue Skink, one Corn Snake, one Tortoise, one Rat and one Guinea Pig. Each participant will be invited to stroke or hold each animal, but they can just look if they are nervous. River will bring along his Question Board, where the children will be asked to answer all the questions at the end of the session to reinforce the fact learning element of the sessions. The questions will be age appropriate to the audiences' ability. All children will receive a free sticker and the birthday child will get a Bravery Certificate, The Adventures of River's Rodents and Reptiles Colouring Story Book. Extra Colouring Story Books can be purchased for the other children at £3 each.
Animal Display Sessions over May Half Term and Summer Holidays
A 3 hour Animal Display of three of River's Rodents and Reptiles show casing the Tortoise, Corn Snake and Rats.
Come along to The Greyhound Inn on certain dates over May Half Term and the Summer Holidays to meet the animals. £3 per person or £5 per person with "The Adventures of River's Rodents and Reptiles" Colouring in Story Book. Dates will be advertised on the Facebook Page.
Mr River Lismer BSC Hons in Animal Management, Post Grad in Animal Welfare. River holds a Standard DBS check and has £5 million Public Liability cover.
